How you may help:

The Pandemic has a long term effect on our resources. All our staff opted for a severe pay cut which has helped us to stay afloat during these unprecedented times. As school is closed due to the lockdown we are unable to provide services to beneficiaries. We have started online intervention and counseling but not many parents are opting for it. Our Parent Training unit is closed. We are also worried that we can’t provide intervention to those who need it most. Time is a crucial factor in autism management. Life trajectories can be changed with early intervention because of plasticity of the human brain. We direly require funds so that we may pay our staff.

Autism Society West Bengal accepts gifts in cash and kind from our well wishers. Their gifts are used to give concessions for our intervention services for those families who need it.

You may help ASWB in many ways. You could help in our fund raising efforts; some of the ways funds may be used are listed below.

  • For procuring Teaching and Learning materials
  • For purchasing Furniture
  • For Sponsorship of 10 days one to one intervention for families who might need your help.
  • For construction of Building
  • For procuring and maintenance of Infrastructure
  • For Equipment purchase and installation
  • Corpus Fund
  • For purchasing Computer, printer and accessories
  • For purchasing Books
  • For contributing to the relief fund for ASWB staff during the times of COVID-19.

Apart from the above there are others ways to lend a helping hand.

  • You could help in our various extracurricular programs.
  • You could also be a buddy with our some of our students.
  • You could buy some of the products that our students make
  • You could network for us to get CSR funds
  • You could organize exhibitions of the handcrafted products our students make.
  • You could help in our autism awareness programs in educational institutions, hospitals, police stations, airports and railway stations.
  • You could pave the way for social inclusion.
  • You could also give us some of your time and get to know people with autism
  • You could give information about job opportunities in open/sheltered employment.
  • You could accept an individual with autism as he/she is and see the person and not their disability.

At Autism Society West Bengal every little gesture helps and every little token counts. We are always looking for ways to improve our services for individuals with autism and their families and we can only do that with your help.

Please be a friend and donate generously. Help us bring our vision to fruition.
