Aarahon – Pre-Vocational unit for trainees with autism.
These programs prepare adolescents and young adults on the spectrum for greater independence, skill-building, and future employment. Pre-vocational session focus on work habits – like following routines, attentions, and responsibility – before transitioning into hands-on vocational training. Participants are trained in diverse and engaging skills areas. In our in-house bakery unit, they learn to make cookies, cupcakes and other baked items in a structured, hygienic environment. Handcrafts training includes making bags, jewellery, and decorative items. Our printing unit produces beautifully printed t-shirts, coasters, coffee mugs, and more. Many of the products are showcased and sold. These activities are not only therapeutic and skill enhancing for income and pride in work.
The Aarahon trainees are 18 +. Here they learn work skills and leisure skills. Their self-help skills are enhanced.
